The Day the Falls Stood Still
A love story in the obvious sense - between a man and a woman - but also a love story between a man and a river. The language is beautiful and the author does a wonderful job of conveying the wonder and magic that a natural treasure like the Niagara River and Falls hold. There is a sadness for what has been lost both in nature and within the plot of the story. This is a beautiful story and I highly recommend it. I wish half stars were allowed. 4.5 stars in my opinion.
